This original acrylic painting by Carolyn Lehl of Johnson-Bell Arts was done on Fabriano brand Italian acid-free black paper. It is from a photo I took on one of my weekly Monday morning walks in Bush Pasture Park in Salem, Oregon. It depicts the feathery grasses along the path in June and is one of 21 paintings and drawings in my current series of "Monday Morning Walks in the Park" that are on display together.
It is part of my "Monday Morning Walks in the Park" collection and that was recently is shown in the Salem Art Association's "Camas Gallery" in conjunction with BUSH’S PASTURE PARK’S OREGON WHITE OAK LEGACY in the summer of 2022.
Excerpt from the show's written narrative:
"The branches on some of the bigger old oak trees seem to be reaching for the ground and I wonder if it’s natural, or just a result of drought. They create a nice shady area to walk through as I follow the paths. The grass seems so feathery light and soft. I adore its suppleness and the pastel shades of green. So much, I want to reach out and pet it!"
I will have prints available by special custom-order only. It's matted and framed under regular glass and is ready to hang. If interested, please contact me at [email protected]
