This original colored pencil and acrylic painting by Carolyn Lehl of Johnson-Bell Arts was done on Fabriano brand Italian acid-free black paper.

It is based on a photo taken on November 19. 2018 at Bush Pasture Park by the artist on one of her walks in the Park.

It is matted framed and ready to hang.

"With the end of the season comes an end to the cycle of growth. There’s a departure of the dramatic and a descending into a tranquility that invites respect. The slope that once held a riot of color now lies dormant. Seed-heads have ripened and the stalks of flowers that just months ago stood tall, are now threadbare and ravaged. Yet these broken, worn-out forms create graceful contours, and I find them handsome in their own way."
