This original was done in both colored pencil & acrylic on Fabriano brand Italian acid-free black paper.

It is based on a photo taken by the artist on December 16^th, 2019 while on one of her Monday morning walks in Bush Pasture Park. The view is looking east from the bluff down into the lower open field in midwinter.

I was especially struck by the deep emerald green color of the grass below the bluff. It’s one of my favorite views.

Matted, framed and ready to hang.

"The shortened winter days produce a low-angled sunlight that contrasts with the endless gray of a winter sky. The wet grass glows with an intense green of a well-watered lawn. As I gaze across the field, I am again captivated by the old “White Oaks” in the savanna area. Fluffy lichens that cling to every branch and twig give them a soft loveliness as dawn’s light breaks." -excerpt from the show's narrative.
