This original painting by Carolyn Lehl of Johnson-Bell Arts was done in acrylic on Fabriano brand Italian acid-free black paper.

It is from a photo taken in January on one of her Monday Morning Walks in the Park. It is facing east into the rising sun, featuring the frozen ground with the mists rising as daylight breaks.

"The grounds are covered in frost and the ground is frozen. It is literally breathtaking. The sunshine is causing mists to arise as it melts the frost." excerpt from the show's narrative.
